The story
Long story short, I wanted a 2005 Civic SI from the dealership but came away with this. Enjoyed it ever since.
The build
This build has legacy mod data that hasn't been migrated to the new parts catalog yet. It still shows below; re-tag in step 3 to add brands, retailers, and notes.
Performance (legacy)
- The performance mods came with the car, done by the previous owners. Here's what I discovered:
- Gruppe M Carbon Fiber Ram Air Intake System
- Ventilated discs on all four
- H & R coilovers
- Borla exhaust
Cosmetic (legacy)
- These came with the car:
- Carbon fiber interior trim pieces
- Golf R logos on the steering wheel and valve cover
- Aluminum pedal set
- Aftermarket headlights w/ LED turn signals
- Blue ambient interior lighting
- 2013 VW Golf GTI Watkins Glen six-spoke wheels
- Flappy paddles are in the glovebox...
- Cosmetic mods I've done:
- A set of Advanti Racing Classe wheels
- Tinted the windows
Service history
Track maintenance over time — oil changes, brake pads, anything you wrench on.

Other info
Car has a good service history with most mods done by the previous owners (I'm the sixth one). The last owner kindly left invoices in the glove box showing me much needed maintenance work completed just months before it was sold, such as a new timing chain kit, headgasket and DSG clutch kit. The only things I've done to refresh the car is a repainted front bumper and a new headliner. Next is to replace the bushings up front, it feels wonky when turning.
