Sell car show tickets online — ticketing & paid entries on ModLinQ | ModLinQ

Ticketing & paid entries

Sell tickets directly to your bank account.

Whether you charge $10 at the gate or $400 a class, ModLinQ collects payment online and routes it straight to the host's connected Stripe account. The payout shows up in your bank like any other Stripe sale — we never hold your money.

Spectator + vehicle pricing

One event. Two prices.

Set a spectator ticket price for the gate, a per-vehicle entry fee for the show field, or both. Buyers pick on the public event page and get an emailed receipt that doubles as a ticket. Stripe handles cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link — no separate processor account.

How the money flows

Direct deposit. No middleman holding the bag.

1

1. Buyer pays

Stripe Checkout collects card details. We never touch the funds — you're the merchant of record.

2

2. We take a cut

10% of every sale (5% with an upgraded ModLinQ account). That's our fee — no monthlies, no per-vehicle add-ons.

3

3. You get paid

Net amount lands in your bank on Stripe's standard 2-day rolling payout. View every order in your dashboard.

Capacity gates

Sell out cleanly.

Set a spectator cap or a vehicle-entry cap and the buy button automatically flips to "Sold out" the second the last seat sells. Walk-up entries you take in cash count against the cap too — no double-booking the field.

Refunds in one click.

Rain-out? Reschedule? Hit refund on the order in your dashboard. Stripe pushes the buyer's money back, our commission gets reversed at the same moment, the entrant's spot reopens. No spreadsheet reconciliation, no awkward Venmo-back, no PayPal disputes.

Real builds. Real entrants.

These are members' cars on ModLinQ today — exactly the kind of profile context judges and spectators see at events using this feature.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do I need a Stripe account?
Yes — but the entire onboarding happens inside ModLinQ. Click "Connect Stripe" on the host setup page, fill out the form, and you're ready to sell. Stripe handles the KYC, tax, and payouts.
When does the money hit my bank?
Stripe runs on a 2-day rolling payout schedule for new accounts. Once you're established that drops to next-day. We don't hold your money at all — it goes straight from buyer to your Stripe account.
What about sales tax?
You're the merchant of record, so sales-tax compliance falls on the host (same as Eventbrite, same as the cash box at the gate). We surface gross / net / commission in the reports view so you have the numbers when you need them.
Can I charge different prices for different classes?
Today the per-vehicle price is one number across the show. Per-class pricing is on the roadmap — let us know if you need it sooner.
