I had a Evo X that had got into a really bad accident and was deemed totaled. A few weeks later I saw an article that Ford was bringing the RS over to the US. The next day I went down to my local Ford dealership and put in a build sheet. This was back in 2015. August of 2016 my RS was ready to be driven home. I loved the car from the beginning. Didnt do much to it for many years as it was my daily driver. After a few years it was difficult for me to keep driving it to work because I am a carpenter by trade. Driving around on construction sites and transporting tools was not gonna work out. I picked up an old Ford f150 and the RS became a project. I started out doing suspension. First it was lowering springs, then it was on coilovers. After that the fun began. New exhaust, new intake, new intercooler and pipes, went completely FBO. After that i got really tired of scraping everywhere around my town so I decided to go on bags. Best investment and couldnt have been happier. However after getting the car to where I wanted it the horror began. After 30k miles the engine blew. The horrid 2.3L issue from a leaky headgasket. However I was fortunate enough to have had the engine covered by warranty. The story only gets better. 1600 miles on the new long block from Ford blew again. At this point i was frustrated and said I'm done with these factory engines, but I loved how far my car came. I pulled the trigger and ordered a Stage 2 built engine with v3 Camshafts from Speedperf6rmanc3 out of New Jersey. During the wait of the engine build. I picked up a PTE Nx2 turbo, 6 puck clutch, Auxiliary Fuel 4 port, and Oil Catch Cans. Installed the engine with a few help of some friends and everything went smooth. Broke the engine in perfect and went back to Speedperf6rmanc3 to get it tuned by Nishan. Car made 520whp on e50 and 435whp on pump. Car feels amazing and worth all the long nights and hard dollars spent!
